 Physical and Mental Training.

Nothing is impossible as long as you believe it's possible.

Courage

Self-confidence

Faith

Concentration

Strength

Flexibility

These are most of the personal aspects the SPZ can help you develop inside yourself. Not in a single short time but in the long run. So that you slowly will come standing stunned of your own physical skills and mental strengths.

Your surroundings will notice that practising SPZ has changed you at home with your family, at school between other students or at work with colleague's. Virtually everywhere you come you will be noticed unnoticed. In a positive sense the courage with which you now live your life will become a steppingstone visible for others near you.

 Unarmed Self-defense.

Resisting two opponents in the box (a small restricted space).

Intelligence

We are the last to claim that muscle-strength is superfluous in a physical confrontation. We dare, however state that intelligence wins it more rapidly and in an effective way than raw and pure muscle-power. More rapidly than putting other muscle-strength to it.

Intelligence ensures our course-participants that all other enumerated skills will work together. Forming a combination of factors which give the defending party a better chance against a very strong opponent or a group of attackers in for example a restricted area.

The SPZ has special training targeted on fighting in the box, a small restricted space. Against several opponents also. Where combining all available skills becomes important in order to protect yourselves from being harmed.

 Knife-fighting.

Knife-thrust to the throat defended by a knife-slash to the wrist.

Courage

Self-confidence

Fighting-Skills

Strength

Flexibility

Endurance

Knife-fighting puts extra heavy demands on the defending party. Drunk opponents, 1.60 m tall with a short knife of 5 cm blade are a lethal thread to each of our course-participants. In spite of their physical fitness, technical skill, strength, endurance and courage.

Even in our lessons, knife-fighting appears to be very dangerous regularly. Small injuries to the skin of underarm, abdomen and face is not unusual. Each injury indicating the danger every knife-fight carries for those who dare thinking of starting it.

 Stick-fighting.

Night-stick self-defense against an attack with a cane.

Strength

Self-confidence

Technical Skill

Flexibility

Creativity

Concentration

Stick-fighting puts totally other demands on our course-participants. Particularly muscle-power in the arm, hand and fingers now becomes important. Because your own (night-)stick must stay fixed in your hand as another beats it with much power. The ability to catch that impact in the wright manner ascertains whether your defense will be successful or not.

It's also very important to use the correct defense in the correct manner with a lot of concentration. A few centimeters to the wrong side and you will find yourself hit by the attacking stick.

 Handgun disarmament.

Disarming your opponent of his handgun.

Mental Powers

Self-confidence

Concentration

Quick Reaction

Technical Skill

Flexibility

As you see 'courage' has been omitted from the list of skills on the left. Courage implies a certain degree of egoism because something that you dare to do doesn't mean that others dare so too. It can be that other people at seeing a handgun dare do nothing anymore. The courage to do something whereas anybody else dare not do anything, endangers everyone within the range of the fire-arm immediately.

Mental powers come to the first place now because they give the strength to step back in the interest of other people. To make them more important than you yourself and your thoughts of taking a chance on your opponent. Ending up at the importance of our mental powers training.

 Special Techniques.

      Belt-strangulation on a knife-attacker.

Self-confidence

Technical Skill

Concentration

Creativity

Strength

Flexibility

The importance of self-confidence in every defending action is obvious. Special techniques however demand a lot of technical skills and concentration as well as creativity. They demand a complete different insight as using your belt for self-defense is not an everyday occupation.

Every action must be carried out well-thought-off and concentrated. Winning or losing, staying unharmed or getting wounded depend on it.
